Leaf raking time

Get out there and enjoy it.

Before the flakes start to stay on the ground!

Remembrance - local treasure

A friend in the militia recommended this place to me - the Lorne Scots Museum on John Street in Brampton. The founding regiments of the Lorne Scots are a year older than Canada - formed in 1866 in response to the threat of the Fenian raids.

The collection consists of an impressive number of uniforms, photographs, weapons and more.

The Museum is regularly open to the public on Thursdays or by appointment.

Check it out. You'll be glad you did!

Light up the hills
Topic: - light up the hills

This looks very cool.

Decking the under construction Dominion Seed Garden splash pad out for Christmas. Lights go on 7 pm, Dec. 1/08.

To include tree lighting, hot choc and cookies for kids, shelter done up like ginger bread house, maybe even splash pad flooded for skating. School choirs singing seasonal songs. At least that's what my sources say.

Ben and I will miss the diggers. But this will be nice too.

Keep yourselves posted - here's the link:

Apple time
Topic: - apple picking

De rigueur visit of one or more local orchards.

Always popular with little boys who love farm vehicles.

Click here for pics of our recent visit to Chudleighs.
